// moogfest : a mummbls mixtape

Our favorite bedroom producer & long time woe, Mummbls, is gearing up for Moogfest with us! We asked him to be our booty-shakin guide & he blessed us with a custom mix of who is on his radar.

“As someone who has a fairly varied taste in music, a festival like Moogfest is an exciting situation for me.  I’ll be able to see a bunch of seemingly unrelated artists that happen to be in the span of a few nights. As a fan, I get to see acts that I may not see otherwise, at least not this close to home (Bicep, GZA, Kyle Hall, Jlin). As a selector, I’ll be taking notes from legends (DJ Harvey, Robert Hood, Hieroglyphic Being, Mad Professor). As a bedroom producer & music nerd, I get to play with synths & drum machines, listen to some brilliant speakers, & hopefully gain new perspectives to hearing & making music. This ought to be a really enriching & inspiring experience.

This was a quick mix of a few selections from some of the artists that I look forward to seeing & hearing this weekend (& one from a certain UK emcee that couldn’t make it due to visa issues). It’s a little random, but then again, so is this lineup.”
